Another simple secret – increase the value content on both your websites and in your blogs. And, most importantly, keep it consistent.

Who is your ideal customer? If you don’t know, find out. That is how you can deliver laser focused content they will want to read, keep them coming back, subscribed and commenting.

Make sure your plan contains all the places and ways you can search out your ideal customer. Just as importantly, choose your advertising channels wisely.

Once you know who your ideal customer is, then you will also have lots of ideal places they hang out to make sure your marketing reaches them.

Get in the conversation and stay there! Become active in the places they hang out as a commentor or frequent poster.

The Number One Big Marketing Mistake

NEVER stop marketing yourself. Creating your brand takes time. Keep at it. Market through your brand so you and what you say become credible marketing conversation (able to be believed; convincing). Become your own brand and shine!

Make sure you focus first on evergreen content AND repurpose it all like crazy!
Example: Blog to pdf and vice versa. Simplify white paper reports for your customers.
Grab a shot from a video you made and post it on social media.

Your work is not going where you want it to go if you do not understand how your ready market is reacting to your promotions. Track everything!

One action I recommend now and then is do a rerun on specialty emails or posts that may have missed the mark or are very popular. Brand yourself with these actions and see what kind of upswing your marketing takes.

1. Never quit marketing.

2. Keep assessing who are your target clients and what motivates them.

3. Look for new and creative ways to reach those people.

4. Give away something of value in order to build the relationship.

5. Go where they are as well as inviting them to come to you.

Blah marketing bores the hell out of your customers. Change things around. Think like the dollar store. People like to find what they are looking for while you add new materials. Look at your blog or website and decide how a simple face lift can engage new customers as well as keep the old ones checking you out
