Hark Hark the Dogs Do Bark The Hackers Are In Town

Spread the love

How smart is a hacker?

When you think on that, swallow this thought. How smart are you at avoiding their
traumatic infections?

Could the latest victim of hackers, Clixsense, be the victim of a member causing this infection?

Hackers are too smart to be caught that easily.

Bots are easily created. Every programmer learns how to create bots. Good bots that run
their programs effectively.  YouTube will show you how to create anything from bombs to
bots. Thus the ease of creation is open to all.

Take that little bot (bomb) to the next step. Attach it to an engaging ad and let the clickers
do the work of spreading it.   From a simple pixel to attachments that take you to the next
step of that engaging ad, the die is cast.

The people with NO security, depending on MicroSoft and its firewall to save them, ( NB**
another post- that  is for MS program only)  to people who use free versions of
security, thinking for what they do online, it  works just fine.

How would they know? That kind of blind thinking puts you and me in harms way. We
will know what they have done far faster than they will learn how foolish they have been.

Protect Your Assets.

Use PROFESSIONAL premium paid security.  Keep it updated. Run the scans at least
once a day.  Have a couple of goodly recognized cleaners online that will not affect your
Registry by removing necessary files.

Both SuperantiSpyware and MalwareBytes come to mind. They are a part of what I use
and strongly recommend. BOTH of them are run at different times of  the day. IF my
security tells me it has saved me from a bad site, that I need to do a scan, it is done.
Right there, right now.

Owner Accountability

At the risk of making a few enemies here for this opinion, I am adamant it must be done.
regardless.

ANY program that opens its doors to the public at large to click through, MUST manually
approve new members.  Relying on programs that are limited in what they look for to do
that approval is asking for trouble.

If that creates too much work for you to handle, then hire someone to do it for both  you
and the security of people you want to use, join and upgrade. If you cannot offer them
some reasonable guarantee of safety, then you have no place owning an online business.

User Accountability

If you do not have a paid professional form of security on your computer, then either get it
– right now – or get the heck offline. GO play bingo and give the caller the frustration you
will cause there.

It would be nice to say that the majority of online owners we deal with, online, are smart,
professional people with the kind of business sense that spells integrity and trust. The
same goes for the members who join and use the programs respecting the rights of other
users and owners.

Unfortunately, that is not even a reasonable dream these days. More and more we are
made aware of how fragile our use of  Traffic Exchanges, mailers,  safelists and more
really is.

If owners and users are not prepared to use the Internet with integrity then it is to be
expected, that freedom will soon be controlled by a lot more that PayPal giving you a
headache, but their bosses, as well as yours, the Income tax people, SEC, and FTC will really
start poking their nose in what you are failing to honor.

  1. Fran, to what you have written here I feel the biggest issue is that anyone with the money to buy a script can open up an exchange, mailer or membership site. The problem is a lot of them have never run a business in their life and have not got a clue. They have spent their life being told what to do. So when they come online who is there to continue to tell them? NO ONE! Therefore, it is incumbent on the perspective member to do due diligence. We all know though they don’t so problem perpetuates.

    1. Therein lies the problem for sure Dale. At lease the major problem. What
is so disheartening is that it all can be fixed so easily from both
the perspective of the owner and the member user.
